Exploring the outskirts...
Makrinitsa and Portaria are the first villages one finds ascending Pelion from the Volos side. While the villages themselves are uniquely beautfiul, they also both offer magnificent day and night time views to Volos. Just outside of Volos one can also find the prehistoric villages of Sesklo and Dimini dating as far back as 8.000 BC. The exhibition areas offer an extremely interesting source of information on ancient Greece.
Volos lies at the heart of Greece not only culturaly but also geographicaly. This makes it very easy to pay daily visits to "must see" mainland Greece attractions like Meteora, Delphi and Mountain Olympus but also the islands like Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonisos. Whether you're visiting as part of a Group or as individuals you can rely on our 20 years of experience and our deep knowledge of the area to help you plan your holidays in Pelion and Volos cleverly and efficiently.
